What type of network infrastructure savings can we expect?
VoIP runs on the IP network which currently supports data communications. As a result, there's no need to purchase or lease expensive PBX and dedicated networking equipment. Moreover, running VoIP on the IP network results in lower management and support costs. For example, adding new users or office locations to an IP network is generally a lower cost endeavor than adding them to a traditional PBX system. There are other smaller areas for savings benefits such as lower wiring costs and easier wireless rollouts that are the result of running voice and data on a single IP network.
